The red mounds in a cleared Lake LA yard are usually harvester ants. They are covered in the $60 service. The mound is the colony entrance, and the ants defend it. Keep kids and dogs off the mound until it has been treated. Do not kick it open to “see how deep it goes.” That scatters the colony and gets someone stung.

We treat the mound and the trails back to the foundation. A follow-up on your chosen schedule, monthly through one-time, keeps new mounds from settling along the same wall.
